Do you ship bikes?
Yes, KomoBikes ships bikes across the contiguous United States. Free FedEx ground shipping is available for orders above $99. Additional charges may apply for large or oversized items. For more details, contact us at support@komobikes.com.

Can I upgrade to different parts before my bike ships?
Yes, please contact us at support@komobikes.com as soon as possible after placing your order to discuss part upgrades. Additional charges may apply for the upgraded components.

Can I place an order using multiple credit cards/payment methods?
Unfortunately, we do not currently support orders using multiple payment methods. Orders must be completed with a single credit card or payment method.

Do you accept bikes on consignment?
No, KomoBikes does not accept bikes on consignment at this time.

How do I know what size bike to buy?
We recommend using our bike size guide available on our website or contacting our support team at support@komobikes.com for personalized assistance.

Order Status & Information

When will my bike ship?
Most bikes ship within 1-3 business days after the order is processed. You will receive a tracking number once your bike has shipped.

What’s the status of my order?
To check the status of your order, please log in to your account on our website or contact us at support@komobikes.com for assistance.

I need to change my shipping address on the order I placed. How can I do that?
Contact us immediately at support@komobikes.com or call (800) KOMO-BIKE with your order details. Address changes may not be possible once the order has shipped.

How do I cancel my order?
To cancel your order, please contact us at support@komobikes.com or call (800) KOMO-BIKE as soon as possible. Cancellations are subject to timing and order status.

How can I change my payment method after placing an order?
If you need to update your payment method, contact us promptly at support@komobikes.com. Changes may not be possible if the order is already processed.

Shipping & Damage

What should I do if my bike or product arrives damaged?
Please inspect your shipment upon arrival. If there is any damage, contact us immediately at support@komobikes.com or call (800) KOMO-BIKE. Retain all packaging and documentation for claims.

Can you ship internationally?
Currently, KomoBikes ships within the United States only. For special international inquiries, please contact us at support@komobikes.com.

How can I have the bike shipped unassembled and ensure that I don’t get charged GLA?
Please specify your preference for an unassembled shipment during checkout or by contacting us at support@komobikes.com. Additional assembly charges may not apply if this option is selected.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is free for orders above $99 within the contiguous United States. Oversized or special items may incur additional fees, which will be communicated prior to shipment.

Where is Kona Bicycle?

We are located at 766 Valencia Street in the Mission district. If you’re visiting us from out of town, take BART to the 16th street station. Locals: you can also reach us via MUNI bus lines #33, 14, and 22 as well as the 16th & Mission BART station.

How can I extend the 24 hrs rental period?

Just keep cycling! You pay your rent on return, so you can keep the bike until you are done with it, unless you have decided to extend for longer than a week. By the way: longterm renters get a better rate.

Do you give a reduction on large groups or for longterm rentals?

Yes we do. Groups off 10 persons get a 10% reduction when they pay all together. For longer periods than 2 weeks we offer special rates. Please check the Reservations section.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Riders under 18 are required by law to wear a helmet. One is provided with your rental.

Do I have to have lights?

State law requires cyclists to have front and rear lights when riding at night. We’ll provide you with both as part of your rental.

What do I do with the bike overnight?

Bikes like to sleep indoors, just like people. If you’re staying in a hotel, check with the bellhop, concierge, or reception to find out if you can take your bike to your room or if they want to keep it in their luggage room. Keeping the bike indoors overnight is the best way to avoid potential damage or theft.

What sizes do you offer?

47cm, 50cm, 53cm, 56cm, 59cm, 62cm

Who is responsible if the bike is stolen or damaged?

You are. We’ll provide you the tools and knowledge needed to keep the bike safe but it’s up to you to return everything we give you.

Do you offer insurance?

Yes !

Do you deliver or pick up bikes?

Yes, but please call ahead of time to verify our availablility! We can deliver or pick up anywhere within San Francisco for an additional fee of $40 each way.

What happens if I get a flat tire?

You probably won’t. But if you do, stop riding immediately and find the nearest bike shop and have them fix it. The repair should cost around $12-$15 including labor, and be sure to get a receipt. If you need some directions, please give us a call.

Are there any special traffic rules I need to know?

Nope. A bicycle is allowed and held to the same laws as a car.

How much do your bikes weigh?

Our single speeds weigh 19-20 pounds, and our internal 8-speeds weight 24-25 pounds.
